My apologies 'cos I seem to remember an answer on this; maybe it was the Doc. I have a solid but gungy 16 blade fan; is it worth giving a birthday and using it?

How was it better? More power? More noise? More cooling? More power consumed in turning it? Paint looked better?

A 4 blade fan sounds like a helicopter!

More cooling and more noise = less power. :D

As a matter of interest, did a cop S have the standard fan, or a 4 blade?
