Are there narrow panels available to replace rusted areas along each side of the vertical seams?

Or is this something you have to make yourself? :?:

If you mean between the flipper window and seam, or rear windscreen and seam, then I dont think so. But dont quote me, its just that I havent seen any before. The only ooption that I know is to visit a wreckers or even ask around here on ausmini for anyone with a scrapper that would be willing to cut what you need.

Its between tail lights and seam on both sides. It looks like i'll have to tackle it myself. Wont be easy though as it has a curve both ways. :roll:

you should not find it hard to find someone with a donor car that you can take the panels from.

Put a post in the wanted section. You may be surprised.

some people may groan at the lengths that I'm going to go through, but I have the same problem on my grunt. Plus rusted out seams, and other assorted holes and rust. I am buying a rear panel (almost complete from top to bottom) and am going to transplant the whole lot.
As was explained to me, between the window and the seam is a smaller area to weld, warp and buckle compared to where you wish to do (same place that I was going to do!).
A bigger panel, yes.
More expencive for me? No.
You also have more markers to work off to have it aligned properly.
Not everyones cup of tea on how to do things, but will work for me.
