Hi,would like to no if crown wheel @pinion out of a metro will fit the rod change gearbox as i am looking to fit higher ratio to my 78 mini to lower the revs any help will be great thanks

the crown wheel and pinion are a matched pair - so to change the final drive ratio you need to change the pinion as well - engine out and gearbox off job

so you need the pinion from the metro as well

assuming your car is a standard 998 clubman, it should have a 3.44 diff ratio - I reckon it's the best combination of torque and high gearing, going any taller with a 998 will make it very sluggish

ratio is 2.95 it come with pinion as well going into 78 mini with 1275 motor

Yep they will fit any Mini box. Rodchange or whatever.
