depends what you're after, but a 60's roundnose will always look better than a clubman.. that's a given, so down to the details they're all great to see restored to original - no-one restores deluxes or mini K's, but they're getting fewer and fewer cos everyone modifies them, 850's are rare too, and a nicely restored 850 is very quaint and is the ultimate in peaked cap driving on a sunday, a restored Cooper or Cooper S is what everyone (except Cushy and a few clubman nutcases) dreams about having for building up a custom car, use a clubman and put a roundie front on it! |

I'll see if i can be bothered to try and scrounge up the parts for the Clubman-round nose trick you suggested, But i'll have a look at what Northern Mini Parts has for me that i can afford.... |

most likely - NOTHING, they overcharge for everything.... join the melbourne mini club and keep an eye on the classifieds (or on their website www.mini.org.au), cheap things come up, the forsales on here are pretty good, ebay occasionally has something that doesn't go through the roof on price |

Yeah, i'm already registered with them, as a matter of fact, i only got my membership a few days ago, and they managed to screw my surname up.(as you tend to do) |

Also known a personal taste. ![]() Mini Ks are pretty rare worldwide, the Clubman is a niche within a niche and developing a bit of a following now - it has a chunkiness and squat demeanor that the roundnose doesn't. Bu then I have 2 so what would I know I'd say whatever sound-bodied car within budget, a 1275 and enough good parts worth keeping should be the real benchmark for a purchase. |

Don't go down the Roundie front on a Clubman route, it's way too much un-needed work! If you want a Roundie, then get a Roundie shell. |
