Post subject:  Remove dash in a Rover Mini

I need to drop the dash forward to get my hands in to change the switch for the A/C , are there any traps and if so what, just need to drop it down, not remove it.
What is the correct procedure for doing this.

Thanks in advance.

cant you just undo the 3 dash hooks?

they are easy. both via the glove box or radio the last is pulled out via the far vent (unscrew it) put you're hand in & undo the other nuts. i have butterfly on mine turn by hand.

bit of a Faf around but the dash will just tip down or fall out depends how much you undo it.

hope that helps.

I never did it, but from what I remember having read, you have to undo the round air vents and access a bolt (I think) behind each as well as somewhere in the middle which means you need to get the radio and it's carriage out of the way.

If it's just the air con switch, you should be able to get to it if you remove the radio.
