It's a little sad after all that work, we go and bolt them on....all the pretty stuff is now on the inside, and will get covered in soot! |

That looks like the ports have not been touched only the chambers are cleaned up. Looks good though. |

its hard to see with the valves in but its all been opened up a little, and cleaned up nice and smooth, its not a extreme port, if only i had the before photos intake and exhaust ports where heaps smaller than the manifold gasket, now they are the same size as the gasket openings, i guess every head seams to be cast a little different, i may have had a real bad one |

Surely you're not going to ruin that head by bolting it onto an engine!? Another example where they didn't come out of the factory looking that good ![]() |

Nice clean mild head, well done,,, it`s often not much point opening the ports up much for a roady,,, & often quite detrimental (depending) the biggest restriction is at the valve & seat area,,, std-ish ports are are just fine for most road/rally minis Nice job But yes paint it right now as they go rusty very quick |

yea it was a top job, i am a little worried about the chambers being 22cc, means i may end up with a final compression of around 10.5:1 which i dont know if that would even run properly unless on avgas |

I run 10.5:1. Runs fine on 95, but better on 98 |

Well it all depends what cam you use. The more duration it has, the higher C/R you can run. With a stock cam, it would ping its head off (pun intended) on 95. The Cooper S was 9.75:1 stock, and they were not real happy on 97 octane leaded Super. |
