is it possible to fit it? yes i know its a rear wheel drive set up etc... but can it be taken off the box and adapted to fit a transverse box?

From my understanding it basically requires an MG 1275 crank and sump as well as the revelant seals and things.

Or in this case a 1275 Mini Crank and all the other bits. I am pretty sure it can be done.

if you've got one, sell it to someone with a morris minor, and that'll pay for a transverse one

Usually the transfer is in the other direction....mini to MG/AH..

We're pretty lucky when it comes to availability of 1275 blocks.

i am not in possesion of this engine at the moment, it will be coming out of a working/driving car, but it is readily available to me... so you think best bet is to get it, sell it, then pay for a mini 1275 block?

The crank is the important bit. I will swap you a 1275 mini crank for the 1275 MG crank - block and crank if you like
