are the australian mini and rover mini water temp sensors the same? ive got rover mini gauges working off an 1100 engine and am not sure if im getting the correct reading from the australian temp sensor. its too good to be right ![]() anyone know? cheers sean |

If your sender unit has red or brown insulation around the conection it is wrong. You need one that is black, the part number on the Minispares UK site is GTR143. However I bought a GTR143 from a Mini shop here in Aus and got one with the red insulation, put it in showed cooler running temp than the mechanical one I have. Ordered the GTR143 from the UK and gauge showed correct, I have a spare one here if you are interested as I have now got a SPI motor in and they use a different one again. Cheers Pete |
