I have a dilema, and would like to get some inputs from you guys.

I am about to start restoring a 1963 Mini with a 1310 and have a couple of options for the braking.
I have a set of both 10" Contessas and 12" Rover minilites. I also have metro turbo brakes and some KAD calipers for non-vented discs under 10"wheels.

Question is what way do I go? I want to run without flares, do I go the 10s with KAD calipers or 12s with Metro Turbo and sell the ones I don't use.

What do you think? Car will be my toy and not see daily use with the odd track day.

Cheers

They are the earlier cast type rather than then new billet ones but still should be good.

Thanks

if it were my choice i like the 10'' wheels better but id say that the metro would give you better braking as they are vented and bigger discs. they both look good but the 10'' wheels would prob stick out from the gaurd where the rover 12'' wheels can be run without flares

hope this helps

Yeah I am leaning towards the 10s, I can always put spacers in and run the KADs with 7.9" vented discs.

If I go the 10's I'll still want to not have flares. (maybe put some on for the rego inspection!)
