2 BMC WORKS cars are going under the hammer by Bonhams at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend.

The 1966 Monte "Winner" GRX 555D in need of a full restoration - Estimate: £50,000 - 60,000.

And 8 EMO - Estimate: £80,000 - 100,000

Are either of them having their history contested though due to reshelling by the works team ? Would love either (or both) of them but my numbers didn't come up last night either ...

I would love to see GRX 555D bought by the Heritage Motor Centre and displayed with 33 EJB, AJB 44B and LBL 6D.

I'm glad it still exists - I've wondered about it from time to time

looks like an easy rebuild though - would be great to see it in with the other 3. It was hard not to get teary when I saw them

Just reviving this thread as another famous mini is up for auction now , Peter Seller's whicker paneled mini that was used in the first Pink Panther movie "A shot in the dark" .
