Hey guys

i need to check for rust under my 76 clubby but theres seems to be a panel in the way and i cant see how to get it off i've heard that under there is where rust is the worst. Someone please give me an idea on how to get to it.....

All mini's are welded together so if you want to see inside the sill you'll need to cut it off.
Maybe try taking the inside and outside of the sill back to bare metal, if their are any rust holes you'll definitely find them :wink: .

well the outer sill is most inclined to rust. If there's rust there you will be able to see it.

Isn't there a hole or two in the sill with a bung in it? If not could one be drilled -say 3/4" and get hold of one of those flexible optical fibre viewing probes to have a look - then seal off the hole with a rubber bung.

Just a thought.

the outer sill seems free of rust
and the inner sill should be as isnt the same
panel as the floor pans?
the floor have no rust on them at all

I would be pretty sure the inner sills are fine if the outer ones are. The only other thing is that a replacement panel may have been tacked on top of it. But to the keen observer that would be obvious. I reakon you will be ok
