leyland 75 is 640kg with a full tank of fuel and no passengers.

not sure about earlier models. you can find the specs in mini manuals.

morri 1100 will be able to give you some specifics.

towing weight for sedan 406kg, for a van 300 odd kg's

roof carrying weight around 25-50kg's.

Im not sure what my Nc car weighs as its away having a transplant !, But I had my tarmac rally car on the scales last night and it was 649kgs with about 30ltrs in the tanks........... But Im interested in seeing what the Nc weighs when I get it back.......... Are you prepared to disclose what your car weighs ?

Depending on what the Nc cars weighs will depend if I tell !..lol

What spec is your car ?

Colin Chapman was the founder of Lotus. One of his principal design philosophies was to make his cars as light as possible so that you could make do with less powerful engines.

Two of his famous quotes are:

"To add speed, add lightness"

"Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere"

Unfortunately, adding lightness doesn't always add safety (or structural rigidity). :(

Cheers,
Simon

It's going to be weighed tomorrow..

Car is an early 850
perspex windows
Aluminium doors
half steel cage
10*6 Mambas

When i bought it it had a single 15amp wire as it's main battery wire..
It was good for three cranks but then it was just too hot to carry any current

apart from that it's standard

Surely, a spare starter motor is an essential part of anyone's toolkit :)
