Just fitted a headlight relay and electronic ignition this evening. I know it's been said a million times on this forum, but jeez they make an improvement. I already had a good set of H4s but the relay really does make a noticeable difference. The ignition setup was an old 'Allison' brand optical setup with an external amplifier. Easy to fit and seems to have made the throttle more responsive and the idle much less erratic. Thanks to Syd (Tspeed Jem) and Scott for help with the fitting. Cheers, Simon |

I'm yet to do the electronic ignition conversion, but will when I get back to Aus, along with alternator conversion.. to add to the list of easy mini improvements.. retractable seat belts 2 x 8 blade fuse box thermo fan oh and steering column lowering bracket! |

rover seats. or just got solid seats that dont sag to the floor make a much more solid feeling ride highly recommend |

hate to think how long its been like that....trust me it stuffs your rack up quick smart. If you purchsed with the drop bracket already on I'd be in two minds weather to touch it. Its more to the point if your adding a steering bracket or replacing the rack. If it aint drockendon't touch it. but in the future you feel something not rite at least you have some where to start from |

Don't leave it alone. Check it. Undo the rack U-bolts and if the rack settles you may have saved your life. If the rack does not move it was all OK and you do up the nuts and it has only cost you a bit of time.. Check the clamp on the bottom of the column. The pinch bolt should be tight and the column should not move in and out on the pinion shaft. If it is moving you need to fix it right away. |

If it is moving you need to fix it right away."  aaahhhh this reminds me of the time of when i had a drop braket fitted to my car by some experts, about half a year later im in melbourne city, about to reverse park into a spot.....put it in reverse, start rolling backwards....begin to turn the wheel....and the car keeps rolling straight..... you can imagine the words that came out
anyway still drove it home, just had to turn the wheel about 8 times until some teeth grabed the splines, was quite hairy doing hook turns in the city with no steering. |
