Post subject: | Fitting Plate Pulsar Dizzy |
Installed my Pulsar dizzy but did it a little differently. Made up a plate to accept the original timing slot on the dizzy. Certainly more trouble than the usual method. ![]() ![]() Turned about 3mil (same thickness as the plate) off the distributor housing. ![]() Plate fitted to engine. Just enough room for the dizzy if you turn the oil pressure sensor so the flat faces the plate. The bolt that holds the housing in the motor needs about half the head thickness ground off. Also needs a nice finish buthatalbe1day. Anyway the dizzy works well. Forgot to photo dizzy fitted... too keen to test drive it. I'll post it tomorrow. |

Dizzy fitted in engine. Should have made plate slightly wider, nevertheless works quite well. If I made the plate so the dizzy was turned 90D clockwise and move the leads one space anti-clockwise...would that work? ![]() |
