for the brake booster? Saw a variety of angles today at the Mini50 show - even one pointed backwards and down (now I know that is not right), so what is a good upwards slope to allow proper bleeding? |

PBR VH44 booster can be level. Bleed nipple on top. The old Lockleed one wants to point up a bit, bleed nipple at the end. 10° would do it. |

PBR said that they only had to be at a slight nose up angle. So anything would do. Fit it level and jack up the front to bleed it! ![]() |

I thought the holes in the guard set the angle on the VH44? Only a little is needed in any case.. |

Post subject: | Booster Position |
Talked to Brooker brakes (Sydney) the other day about possible air in the system. "Colin" was an old Mini guy for a long time ago. He was absolutely fabulous. Advice ~ Air in the system: Make sure the power booster has "its nose up a little" allows air to bleed. Problem solving: 1. Clamp all four flex hoses and test pedal, should be hard 2. Release clamps one at time testing pedal each time. This will tell you which wheel has a problem. SIMPLE. Hit my head on the post outside and though Doh. |
