My favourite was Toby Tyler's Bronze Gold (I think that was the name of the colour) '70 Mk2 'S', completely unrestored, daily-driven for 12 years I think and still in gorgeous condition. This was the car up the back of the big tent building with wedding ribbons on it.

Apparently (according to Toby) only two ever made in this colour, with a sensational tan interior.. just beautiful.

I thaught the organisers did a fantastic job this year, Really well done guys.

The highlight vehicle was definatly the newly finished Red Traveller Woodie. But I'm biased.

Once again thanks to the organisers and everyone who put in the effort.

I think they'll be drinking themselves silly at the Sunshine Motel and Final Approach caravan park.

There was one person who won an award who must've been very emotional with the honour and distracted because he left something behind at Mini50show.

Hey Mick, you took home the red thing that was almost 'best car' at the Show but you left your camping chair behind (at least I assume it's yours). I'll take good care of it until I see you at Minshow 2010 :D On the off chance that you'd like at back before then let's see when we can do a handover.

Great car, and I think I reflect the feelings of many Ausmini members who followed your restoration from a "Tassie devil" into an award winning vehicle by congratulating you publicly for being so brave as to share your restoration with all of us, as it actually happened, warts and all. It's a credit to your attention to detail and the judges agreed.

Doug

Silly old chair...

I thought something was a little strange when I unpacked the empty chair holding bag at home....thanks for holding onto it, I hope you can make good use of it until I get it back off you in 2010 :) It's ok if it gets a little dirty till then... ;)

The cool trophy is not doing me much good at home. No matter how I wave it about the wife won't get me a bowl of ice cream.
