Hey guys, it's been a long time since i posted last and whatever,but i thought id show off my hard work and what i have done to the mini now, i think my head and block look quite nice, any comments on that?, and how much do those little shaft things that stick through into under the rockers cost? and what aare they called, any tips on anything you see would be appreciated.

looks great,, those rods your looking for are called push rods,,, any mini spares place will have them,, there are a couple of diffrenent types depending on size of engine.

Are you just doing a check? Or are you stripping it down (in situ) for a rebuild? Depending on which it is will determine what comments/suggestions you will get.....it's easy to just pull things apart! Making sure you put it all back together the CORRECT way is the tricky bit.

ah the ol push rods eh, thanks 13secmini.

the body is in its repair state now, but a candy purple paint job is on the way, for $0 :lol: Jealous?

Annnnd i pulled the head off to get it shaved, for a nice low price, found a blown head gasket, but that is as far as i will go on that baby. so i guess it was a half check half rebuild type thing? lol. Just need a few spares for my s.u and a new/old radiator, mines got a hole.

no you are not allowed purple mine is going to be purple and gaf has one :)

Sociallydiabled, i have BOX full of them, drop in one weekend and grab some.... not a lot of $$$ to change hands.... i assure you (Ask Gafmo i think, he grabbed a few sets i remember.. of course it COULD have been someone else........ :oops: )

Kazjim - Where is the central coast? lol it may be a tad far for me to travel, i am happy to pay postage if you wish...i think? haha i have no idea about these things ... thanks for your trouble, what else do you have laying around? :P i need a sender unit for my fuel tank...maybe some free disks? :lol:

Nice try.. no discs left ! (although a DO have a honda disc conversion sitting in a box. . . . )

Central coast is between Sydney and Newcastle.....

Drop me an email with your details and we'll chat, i have a heap of other stuff to get out this week (i havnt forgotten guys.. just busy!) so I can do it at the same time if possible...

Oh, let me know if its a 850/998/1100 or a 1275.. .different pushrods....
