1. what that cheap decent oil that DOC is always going on about , im in need for some oil and thought it might be a good try this time. KMX or KTX or something , also where do u get it.

Or if there are some other sales about that u may know of at auto shop stores feel free to inform :lol:

3. gearstick is rattling and realy anoying me ,,,, i remember there was a thred about what to do about it but i can't find it on search. just wondering what is needed and required in order to freshen up the rubbers or bushes down there to stop it rattling.?? i presume that s what is cause ing it ??

2. also , where can i pick up a monotorque headgasket for the mini , heard that it was doing a good job in a thread a few weeks back. or is there a better one out there??

KMX can be bought from any K Mart store

What type of gearlever? Remote or rod change?

Any mini shop should be able to get you one, or Repco can.

thanks for that .

i think i have a remote gearchange . big alloy thing that goes under the car from gear stick to gearbox. is that right or do rod change ones have the same thing ???

The rattle is coming from the bottom of the lever in the housing, i usually just lean my leg against the gear lever, however i got a teflon bush from Minispares at Padstow, solved the problem i've now put them in all my cars.

Yeh just like that, mine came from Mini Spares in Sydney, there locally made out of teflon heaps better than plastic.

can pick up an ACL monotorque head gasket from supercheap, was looking at them today for myself, just ask kev or ian :lol:
But you can order them in for about 15 bucks plus postage and handling which is about 9 bucks, so about 24-25 bucks will see ya have one :wink:

yeah went to supercheap and had a look in their book to get the guy to order it in and yeah just got confused with which one to get . ie : cooper /998/1098/850 cooper s. i just figured thast they were the same. anyone know the part number for the whole kit, gasket and all the other bits ?
