I was wondering why you were asking, I thought it WAS your car! Well there you go.

Its been on another website for a while and people have come up to me at race meetings asking about it ?........... My car was built in 2001 buy the same guy who owned that "Sport Sedan" in early 70's, so for those who know the history its a fair assumption that they are the same car. But they are "massively" different...........

I had a guy from NSW asking me about this car who was considering buying it "site unseen" thinking it was mine

People have even questioned the price !

It was parked next to mine on the Sunday, it has some rust , a certain amount of bog, has had at least two off track excursions and they want $11,000, I assume it has a log booked roll cage and everything else is FIA/CAMS approved.

its a race car so ofcourse it has bog and has been off track, i was talking to the guy, apparently its been reshelled, the original car though was the first built by the original owner.. cant remember his name but he and his son both raced a similar looking car... but he has the original id plates in his posession. was actually green inside :? needed a tidy up and is apparently prone to breaking in the engine department. had an alloy cage which wouldnt be fia approved but that doesnt matter unless you want it in the world historic gt championship or something.. the fact its an alloy cage would make me say no straight away but then thats how "Classic" race cars are meant to be... wouldnt be a turn key race car, but had some potential to be a nice "replica"

An alloy cage can have FIA approval.

I wouldn't use one either. I have seen the results close up a few times.
One car had the whole cage broken off above the floor mounts and there was a length of tubing about 40cm long floating around the interior.

The question you have to ask is could you build it for $11,000 including purchase of the initial car? I actually thought it seemed reasonable.
