Post subject:  lcb extractors

hey guess wat just brought LCB extrators for 20 bucks got a ding in them so whats the best way to get it out u recon with out doing more damage? i herd off my bro that some one on heard that some one on here put them in the freezer and filled with water and poped dints out ???????? will it split the pipe if to much water is there ?

If you know a good panel beater they might be able to pull it out.

I've seen them spot weld a bit of wire to a small dent in a car then attach a sort of slide hammer to it and pull out the dent.

yer i did work experiance and we used one but didnt get along with the owner there :( so that is out of the question

There was a thread on here not too long ago about using the freezer, have a search.

Do you have access to a welder?

Weld a tag to the middle of the dent, clamp the tag in a vice and pull the extractors, then cut the tag off.

I have heard of a trick using the correct size ball bearing and a grease gun. :o

If all else fails, cut it and weld a nice new bit of tube in.
I remade a stuffed Maniflow LCB (rusted into the Y piece) this way, it wasn't too hard after I had 2 short tubes bent to 105° and made a jig up.

hmm i aint the best welder so i will leave that to the pro who just fixed my exhaust made a new flange for me
