I was moving the little fella from his parking space on the driveway this morning... for those that didn't know..

And, as I was moving it, I noticed that the passenger floor carpet looked damp. On lifting the carpet, I was presented with about a centimetre deep puddle of water.

So out with the carpet and it was similar in the passenger rear. After some speedy soaking up with a beach towel I'm going to clear out the shed properly and put him in there.

It's about time I cleaned the shed up properly. It's only been about 8 years.

One little bonus for you all is a little quiz.

I decided I'd give the motor a little run, so I turned the ignition on, then hooked up the ride on mower, via jumper cables.(So i could see the ignition light come on through the rear window) The pump ticked away happily, the Car cranked beautifully, but didn't fire. When I looked in the engine bay, I noticed a tiny tiny problem when the ignition was turned on.

It was difficult to see. Lucky I had such a trained eye.

See if you can spot it.

At least you know the SU elec fuel pump works.
looks like a 61 850 by the painted grill, whats the build no.?
And by the way it has a 1 1/2 carb i gather it doesnt have is original engine in it anymore?
Good looking little car, my 850 has also had to live out in the rain and i too have only just got it under cover again.

Yeah, I was chuffed that the pump was working. For a few seconds..

It's a 64 850 with a L**land 998 with a 1098 crank and the, afformentioned 1.5 inch carb.

(For the new guys :P )

Ah, mmm, that's a difficult one ... Is it the water squirting out of the radiator overflow tank (disguised as a carby float bowl)? Actually, it's a bit hard to see in the low light. Could you video it again but hold a lighted match close to the leak so we can see it better

It's like a little mini water feature..

I might make it into a loop and you could have it as an Aero video wallpaper :)

Just grab a screwdriver and give the top of the float bowl a whack with the handle of the screwdriver and try it again.
