This might be a dense question but..

When did uk mini's stop having quarter vent windows? When did they go to internal hinges also?

Was it the same as aus?

I am trying to buy some 1/4 vent window rubbers and haven't seen them here for under AUD80 each side and was looking on UK sites to see what they are like from the UK. Can't find them. Maybe I am just having a bad night but I have been looking for about 30 minutes.

UK never had them. They went straight from sliders to full wind ups in 68.

I have some new quarter window rubbers I'm not using. Message me if interested.
:D

A. don't think UK minis ever had quarter vents. They used sliding windows until the MK III and then went to single wind up window. Wind up windows were an aussie invention before UK ones...

B. Internal Hinges : Mk III ~1969 (?)

Some UK cars (like Radfords) had quarter vents because it was considered a luxury.
Doesnt mean you'll buy the parts over there though.

thanks guys.

I wasn't on crack!! Woo hoo.

Harley, pm sent.

I really like the look of the single window but like the vents as well. Great to angle a jet of air ( hot) into your face on a hot day. Practical.

Wonder why vans never went to internal hinges. Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to have done it. Probably the whole pov pack commercial thing.
