Hello,

I'm trying to get the speedo working properly, it looks in excellent condition however it seems to be fairly inaccurate. Needle jumps all over the place sometimes and the speed reported is not matching up to the GPS.

Have checked the speedo cable and it is in good condition, so is there a place where I can get the speedo rebuilt/calibrated in Melbourne, Knoxfield area?

Thanks guys

Try Rodger Howard who owns and runs Howard Instruments in Heidelberg. He is a VMCI member, a Mini enthusiast and he's restoring a number of Minis so he is very Mini sympathetic. Phone 03 9457 4755

Both Howard instruments and Ringwood speedos have many years experence with mini speedos and i have used them both, but i recomend you go and see Rodger as he is a good friend of mine and is a Smiths gauge specilast.
