I'm reading this book ATM:

"the story of a 140mph Mini engined world record breaker and how to build it" - very inspiring book! :)

Did they use predominately Australian ones or just web sourced stuff (did the Mini-Trac make it  ) ?

Yes! It's the book by Allan Staniforth, the inventor of the 'Terrapin' :) I'm very tempted myself to build a Terrapin - once I have a good workshop :)

The specials they included are

1. Broadspeed
2. Tractor
3. Lolita
4. Trike (not a production model though)
5. Monaco
6. Mini-Trac (there you go Iain  )
7. Fang
8. Unipower GT
9. Wild Goose
10. Mini Jem

Some interesting info.......I'd never heard of the Wild Goose before. THe trike doesn't count though, it was just something some guy made in his back yard. THey should have axed it and put the Midas in instead.

Got the mag today , you could have said it was nearly all the cars in TME issue 17 :D It's a decent spread of cars over 10 or so pages . Well done watto (well , if it wasn't watto his lawyers will be busy) for getting the mini derivatives into a mainstream car mag read by thousands of people .

I had to look hard to find Watto's byline, but it's there. Great work.

How about the $30,000 Morris 1100 on the previous page?

HeHe, it's funny discovering my car come up in various articles. They've put the engine pic for the uni-power on the page with mine for some reason?
