Ok, now i've got your attention....

In Issue 301 of Unique Cars (the current issue with the mini special), there is a "Broadspeed copy" for sale. The ad reads as follows"

Ad from Unique Cars wrote:
Morris Mini Broadspeed Copy 1970, Broadspeed mini copy, all steel body, 1330cc, 5 speed, Adjustable suspension, 6" minilites, custom dash. Goes well, in good condition, needs minor tidying up.

The ad is on page 182 and contains a photo of a white car, which looks pretty good given that it's only a small pic. I think it sounds pretty interesting given that it apparently has a five speed box, but I'd assume that the measurement in relation to the wheels is either the width, or just completely wrong. It's located in NSW, and the cotact phone numbers are 02 4958 8479 or 0417 448 094.

Is anyone keen to have a look and let the rest of us know? All this talk about BMW releaseing a Broadspeed "tribute" have got me intrigued!!

THey've got it for $15000.

I thought about mini chat, but wasn't sure if it was right? Maybe someone could move it? Have you got the keys for God?

Sorry about the crappy shots, I'll do my best to scan the ad tomorrow and get it up in decent resolution.

The camera should do a good job if it has a macro setting. It's usually a picture of a flower.

nevermind. just read the first post! haha.

looks great. would be a great alternative to a Cooper S I think. For a similar price it seems.

Dunno , only a tiny number of Aussie ones here and they're accounted for (except the stolen one and you don't want to touch it) , be expensive to find one in the UK and ship it here , I'd be happy with a replica for $15K even if it took another $10K to fix it up :D

THat's what I reckon. Especially if it's already got a 1330cc engine in good nick and a 5 speed gear box. Would love to see some more photos of the body........is anyone going to call?

49 prefix indicates in the Newcastle area. Maybe someone should alert Graham in aus; he may already know the car otherwise might be interested to go see.

If it's all nicely done, $15K sounds very reasonable to me.

I'm gonna look at unique cars tomorrow.
