Post subject:  A+ Dizzy wiring

Hi All,

Been reading for a while now and i finally have a problem i can't find the answer to on this forum.

Im setting up a metro 1275 in my van and i'm unsure of the correct wiring for the dizzy.

The dizzy has two wires rather than the single usually on the A series, a white one and white with black strip. Do these just go to either side of the coil?
I've got the ignition power feed sorted but what else is required?

Also, i've read that these need a different coil, will the 1.5 ohm pulsar coil work?

If anyone has a wiring diagram they could send me that would be great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Very true, Matt

White goes to (+) coil terminal
Black/white goes to (-) coil terminal

Same with the wires from the loom (W+, B/W-).

Don't forgett to fit a coil for elec ignition. Don't know about the ohms... GCL143 would be the original coil.

Cool,
I thought as much, i just wanted to check before doing it to avoid frying the module.

When you set it up for initial timing (trying to get the green light to come on), remember to take the black wire off the coil. I forgot and got a bit of a spark.
