was involved in a crash today in the city. was turning right across an intersection after the lights had gone orange and two cars turned in front of me but then a girl coming the other way sped up to make it through before it went red and ended up cleaning me up.

Pretty pissed off because it was some really poor driving on her behalf (if the light is orange and cars are turning.. it seems ridiculous to speed up at them), but i know it will look like i am in the wrong for insurance purposes probably....?

So heres the damage, the subframe wasn't bent and none of the actual engine was broken - so it could've been worse. The imact of the crash broke my toolbox as the tools went through it! So what to do.. how hard is it to get a new front end put on etc., any thoughts?

Shiiiit... Aussie.... What a pain..

People voluntarily swap front ends, so it can't be the hardest task in the world.

And since everyone wants to change from clubby to roundie, you should have a good supply of fronts.. :)

Is your mate that painted it still around?

Cheers man, Na he's moved on. Probably do a bit of engine work while she's off the road.

Lost of work and saving ahead looks like.

Damn, not good to hear. Hope you're all ok.

You could go a tilt front when it's repaired. Think you'll make it to MATM?

iF YOU WERE ALREADY IN THE INTERSECTION WAITING TO MAKE A TURN AND THE LIGHTS TURN FROM GREEN TO AMBER AND SHE HAS ENTERED THE INTERSECTION AFTER IT TURNED TO AMBER, SHE IS 100% IN THE WRONG, SHE HAS TO STOP AT AN AMBER LIGHT OR MAKE A SERIOUS ATTEMT TO STOP, AND AMBER LIGHT IS THE SAME AS A RED LIGHT. SHE IS UP THE CREEK WITHOUT A PADDLE, SO GOOD LUCK.

sorry about the caps lock key,

I tee boned someone who turned right in front of me, ended up in court where the guy was told that if you're turning right you're automatically in the wrong, not always fair (and certainly not in this case by the sound of things) but that's what the judge said

Mate, so sorry to read of the prang, but glad you're ok. Sounds like she may be in a bit of strife - witnesses? Hope you can get it sorted without too much grief.
Peter.

actually Davo I didn't need a solicitor as I was in the right - only reporting what the judge told the other driver
