Im after some advice,

Im looking at buying a 1967 moke. From what i can tell its a early 1967.

It has no floor and the rust is extensive. The car is not complete but has the plates and original engine. I would get it cheap. But i would have to travel 6 hrs to do so.

I was just wondering can you still buy the front and rear lights as they are different to the 1970's mokes? and would it be worth it?
Its it really that rare?

And how likely would it be to pick up another 1967 shell to rebuild?

craig the rear lights are harder to find than "you know what" they are the same as series 1 landrovers.
As for the floor, as you have seen from my moke they can be replaced.[the roll former is still set-up to do them]

As Watto said to me the small wheel mokes are worth restoring, same with any early car.
It depends on how much the car is going to cost/ freight and how much effort you want to put in to it.

Has it still got the original eng/box etc.

Yes it has the original engine, gearbox and speedo
and I would pick it up

so about 300 for fuel
plus trailer hire

depends if you want "original".
you can buy trailer lights from supacheap that do the exact same job as original ones ...but better.

for serious collectors (ie japanese and americans), if you replace the floor it is no longer original.

bottom line .........if you are doing it up for yourself, its about the right price.
if you want to make money on it......dont bother.

i know one guy who has bought his car back to original and it owes him 25k+ AND he did a lot of the work himself.

ha, just replied on the Moke forum...

as for the hive lights, they are available new online ive seen alot of places, or there are a few second hand ones always around,

the front indicators on the other hand are a little harder to find and usually rather exxy...

but restore it!

floor pans can be had from UK or just manufacture it yourself...

850 beast shouldn't it be?

mokes as far as i know never had th 850cc. They came out same time as the delux so woulda had 998cc

As I said craig the roll former is set-up to do a replacement floor pan. You will find the subframe floor mounts will be rusted out as well.
So you are going to be brave and run up collingrove with it
I can see this is definately not going to stay "original"
