Not a bad combination, it'll do pretty well. It'll do better with twin 1-1/4"s, you get good torque and better breathing at high revs. A single HS6/HIF44 will get you the same breathing, but torque will suffer a little. The single 1-1/2" SU isn't quite enough to get the most out of that engine. |

Quite possibly overkill on an 1100 unless it's worked lots, but at least it won't be the weakest link ![]() |

A 12G940 head won't just bolt onto a 1100 motor, you need to scallop the block & pistons to clear the valves. A 3.6 or 3.7 diff is more 1100 friendly. Doogie |

Doogie I'm sure you can run a 940 head on a 1100 but with a 940 head gasket just dependant on how much has been shaven off the head prior. I can't tell you how it would go but my 1152 with a RE13 & LCB with a maxed shaved 202 head works well with a HIF44 & have had 45.2 bhp at the wheels. I/we have a 3.44 diff and I would prefer a 3.6 or 3.7 as Doogie has said. |

I no it won't just bolt on u have to machine the water pump and pocket the bore to allow the valves to miss the side of the bore all stuff I can do with a very experianced person watching over my shoulder |

12G940 is too big IMO. Same with the 45mm Weber, you'll lose low down torque. Bigger is NOT always better... Work a proper 202 or get a 295. As said with that combo. you'll be looking around 50HP at the wheels tops. Put a 1 3/4" SU on it. or 40mm Weber. |
