40 bends, Lithgow. Disused road is still there, but not used now... ![]() I used to run the stock Fiat 124S, last time did 3 runs in a row.. 40.1, 40.1, 40.1. My mate did a 39.9 in his 1275S and I couldn't knock it off. ![]() Fiat was quicker to 50MPH (6.8S) than the S (7.5S) but then you hit 3rd and it weighed 940kg.. ![]() |

Arthurs Seat (50 km around the bay, south of Melbourne) used to hold an annual Historic Hillclimb on the 2.5km tourist road to the lookout. I ran my Bugeye Sprite there 4 or 5 times before pressure from commercial establishments in the area and the increase in costs of insurance and CAMS compliance made the event unviable. Great hill though, 8 hairpins and very steep. The Bugeye ran a 5.1 : 1 diff to enable second gear to be used on the hairpins. ![]() |

I presume you mean Huntley. No I can't give you any more info, but Bob Bell who is the local mini guru will be able to help. His phone number is 42561909. He runs a hill climb mini and is building a vtec conversion at the moment I am led to believe. |

Huntley just out of Dapto, next to the mine. Ozmotorsport took a few of us MDC dudes for a run up it years ago. Mt Keira is not bad when nobody's around, either! ![]() |

I have run at Amaroo Hillclimb, Silverdale, Huntley and Bathurst (the esses hill climb) Huntley is a bit steep for a low powered car, you may not have to lift the foot at all! Silverdale was the best, I was supposed to run in a night hillclimb but I broke my knee a couple of weeks before the meeting. ![]() |

Silverdale was the best, I was supposed to run in a night hillclimb but I broke my knee a couple of weeks before the meeting. ![]() Cronulla Car Club ran that night hill climb and I strung most of the wire for the lights. We even had to paint all the safety barriers white so they could be seen. I wanted to run a kart at Huntley but they won't allow anything with less than 10'' wheels to run there. |

Doc, you will enjoy reading this..... http://www.framingmatters.com.au/tcc/default.asp?s=2 A potted history of Thornleigh CC. Brings back memories for me, which is another way of saying I am an old fart. Saturday nights getting lost around Maralya and bashing around Windsor and Richmond. Memories, no bloody speed limits either. |
