Looked i the how too but wanted to get a " chrome " finished on my Rover Mk6 Grill ( same as mark 3 but with internal bonnet release ) and wanted to know what products work best. Was thinking Autosol and a rotary polishing tool could work well but thought it best to ask before getting stuck in. Thanks Garth |

If you take a piece of steel wool to a spot on the back of the grill somewhere, give it a rub on the surface. Ally will scratch and show where you have been rubbing, Stainless steel will polish and generally not do anything to the metal. And as above, ally is a lot lighter than stainless... |

A good way to polish chrome and Stainless is "SIFA" steel wool. super fine 0000 grade. It works. Test on a non critical part. But It does work well. Got mine from Bunnings 50g about $9 (i think) lasts for ages, there is heaps in 50g Steve |

Yep both Mick Ans 4myego have it, Use 0000 steel wool on the back of the grill and then tryout the Autosol also. inwhich you may aswell take the grill off and give it a good wash both front and back |
