Ok here goes my brain again.

I'm thinking of getting another car, and leaving little willy as my fun car.
So instead of keeping it a normal road car, im thinking of rally-ising it.

Does anyone have any pics of mini rally cars?
Tips? Info? Suggestions?

Thanks.

Big willy.

Rally means no Rice and no ICE Wiilly

Are you sure you can cope? LOL

Everything out - carpets, seats, roof lining, sound poofing, speakers, ... it's all weight and it all has to has to go.

Have fun

sounds like most normal clubmans. roof lining has sagged and been ripped out. sound proofing has gone while changing various broken parts. carpets have not been replaced after floor rust has been cut out.

maybe the clubman is the ultimate rally mini ;)

From memory most rally minis had a heater. The last thing you wanted on a cold rainy night was a fogged up windscreen!

Hey does anyone have pics..? I would love to see the inside of a rally mini too..

On the legal side of things, does anyone know in Sydney if its registerable like this..? I used to have a Charade Detomaso with the interior stripped and full roll cage in it, sports seat, etc etc and was told that (even though I had passed rego every year) that if the cops ever pulled me over I was a gonner... ended up having to get an interior put in...

yer they did, best wheels would depend on ur surface ie: on gravel u would want a narrow smaller wheel like a 5 by 12 but on tarmac u go 7 by 13 or higher, as u need alot of wheel on the ground for max traction but on dirt the less stones ur on the better, so thats y they use thin wheels, get adjustable suspension for the same reasons ie: low on tarmac high on gravel etc, brakes, boosted 8.4's engine, well ur best with a quick revving engine, but with poke so a 1275 would be best, under car u need a sump guard and something covering ur gearshift and muffler, and ur glass well it wont be glass, go for perspex cos its easy to make ur own windows out of and it is ver very light! i hope this helps and just coz im 14 doesnt mean i know nothing so u can listen without being lauged at!

Check out how expensive all the period rally accessories are on eBay.

Also migh pay to check vizards bible, it shows where to re-inforce subframes with welding and has some good examples of under body skid pads.

Cheers
