hey guys just wanted to know your thoughts on the K.A.D quickshift?
Is it worth putting in? does it make that much of a difference from the standard?

Fix the sloppiness... then you wont have the need for the quick shift..

probably cheaper too..

Almost any gearbox will be sloppy after 30-50 years.
I have a remote box & have been through and replaced the worn parts already, but have just bought a KAD Quickshift.

Hopefully will get a chance to fit it this weekend. Will let you know how it goes...

I have a MiniSpares quickshift (same as the KAD except it doesn't have the collar lift to engage reverse; you lift the whole stick as usual) on a rodchange box and it's great. There's not much slop in my rodchange to begin with (I appear to have the only tight rodchange gearshift in the country going by the comments hereabouts) and the quick shift works really well.

The only criticism I have is that first is a little hard to engage some times (4 synchro box) but aside from that I love it 8)

I bought a KAD quickshift for my new white cars and the instructions want me to put the mechanism inside the car :?: 8)

Ribena's got a KAD one fitted - it's brilliant. Absolutely no slop in the gear changes - very direct - love it.
