I have just found the pasport to service handbook of my old S.

Does it still exist. MK I MORRIS COOPER S 1968

Car number YKG2S2 / 4486 Engine number 9F / SA /Y /49364.

Painted special burgandy red with red carpets and seats

I sold it in Windsor area of Sydney in the mid 70's with nsw reg.

Happy to pass on previous history to the present owner.

Les

There was a post a while back where people were doing just this, re- uniting books with cars. I will search for the link. I think it is great.

Found the link! I'd be interested to know when the car was first purchased. My body number is 4696 and I am trying to work out if it is a 68 or 69 build? The engine is about 400 after yours although they didn't necessarily run in order.

Damn, mine is special burg.red. and I bought it in the Blue Mountains in the early 80s but it is about 650 cars too early for that book.

I traded a 63 997cc mini cooper in on the S in mid 1969,
the S had 15,375 miles on the speedo and was 12 months old.

I beleave the S was sold as a new vehicle from the BMC dealer in
Wagga n.s.w.
