So i dont actually know what this part is called so i thought a picture would be the best idea. ![]() so now that this piece has snapped the gear stick wobbles free and obviously thats not right Question: can this just be welded back together? or are parts going to be needing replacement? cheers Lachy |

Which bit, the rubber "cottonreel" bolt part or where it bolts to the floor. The cottonreel rubber bits are available from any mini distributor generally under the exhaust sections, pretty cheap ~$10 max. |

Just unbolt the busted bracket, weld it up and refit. |

unfortunately its not the cotton reel part...its the little strip that connects that bit to the gear assembly thingo this bit here ![]() |

It's a steel bracket. Anybody with a welder can fix that, even your local zorst place. ![]() |

ive taken the piece off and am wondering what sort of weld i should use? electric? mig? does it matter? |

The bracket broke on mine last week in exactly the same spot. Took it out, welded it and threw it back in all in less than 45 minutes. Strange thing was that it seemed to go in to gear a lot better when the bracket was broken! It might have just been because everything was flopping about. Good luck. |
