Post subject:  shaking/shuddering

Sometimes, not always, after i turn the car on and put it into gear (either first or reverse), the car shakes pretty violently (maybe shudders is a better word??). It keeps it up until I get a bit of speed up. By a bit of speed, I mean taking off properly; so if I'm reversing out of a car spot for instance, it's going to keep it up until I change into first and accelerate away.
I hope I've explained this properly :?
Is this a real issue? It doesn't seem to affect the performance or anything; I took it on a decent road trip over the weekend, so it doesn't seem to be a huge deal, just annoying. Also turns heads for the wrong reason in car parks!

either the clutch is on it's way out, has oil on it, or your engine mounts are shagged

it is a real issue - shouldn't be left that way because it will start to cause other problems, like wrecking your engine mounts if they're not already

Clutch is brand new and the primary seal is not leaking, could be worn engine steady bushes and extention housing bush or maybe lacking a bit of hyraulic pressure, may even be as simple as a clutch adjustment since it has been used a fair bit after the clutch has been fitted.
Try a double pump on the clutch pedal before you take off and see if it makes any difference.

I'll give the double pump a go and I did wonder if it might just need an adjustment after my drive out to Gippsland on the weekend.

Actually, it's a lot like a moderate version of what was happening when the clutch was shot; so I should probably book in that adjustment.

I have the same issue, shuddering clutch, Link have fitted 2 or 3 clutches to it, machined the flywheel etc to no avail. I just live with it now but it seems to be getting better after 2-3 years.
It never shuddered before so I dont think it is engine mounts, wonder if it could be a tight diff, or dodgy wheel bearings/cv joints as both wheels seem to shudder as well.

Or maybe just coming to Gippsland can cause it :D
