May be you need to show him your map. I agree with Al, at least give yourself two weeks. And also remember that if you post in Mini Chat, try to at least make the thread mini related.

Agree with that..Are you taking a Mini across or are you thinking or hireing while your thier. Myself I'd do NZ....more islands and they talk funny

 You should move there Steve so you get to enjoy Tassie some more 
Depends on how you are getting there driving (yes I know you cant drive there, you have to go by ferry) or flying and what you want to do and where you want to go when there? I know the northern part of tassie is very good and there are a heap of mini people there if you are driving your van around there.  (dont worry about lil-ute/Al he's not allowed out at night....something like he heads for the hills and howls at the moon and bites the heads of cows or something like that )
