Without much difficulty, I managed to remove a twin fuel tank (probably off a Cooper S) from my 66 Deluxe. Now the problem is to cover the hole where the tank spout exited. I am not a MIG welder and am on a very tight budget. Could I use fibre glass matting etc to cover this up? How solid will this be? |

put it back in and wait till you can afford to have it fixed professionally, because the whole rear corner of the car will need to be repainted I'd weld it up for you for a couple of slabs and the RH tank ![]() |

"I'd weld it up for you for a couple of slabs and the RH tank" At the price of right hand tanks isn't that being a bit greedy.... I did notice the smiley.... Cheers, Ian[/img] |
