Geneva Rally April 1960 First International Class Win

14th Place car... 44 Donald Morley/Erle Morley...618 AOG
27th Place car... 47 Miss P.Ozanne/P.Allison.......617 AOG
retired...............45 A.Pitts/A.Ambrose..............619 AOG

Who were the Drivers/ Co-Drivers ( yes I know I have their names but were they BMC Drivers or hired for the event )
What were they driving, Austin 850's ?
Were the car's retired after the race or did they go to other events ?

Now we know that the same numbered cars were used in the Monte Carlo Race later that year but were they the same cars or were the numbers transferred

Monte Carlo 1960 date ?

618 AOG 850cc Mini P Riley/R Jones, 23rd o/a
TMO 561 850cc Mini D Morley/E Morley, 33rd o/a
619 AOG 850cc Mini T Wisdom/J Hay, 55th o/a
TMO 560 850cc Mini A Pitts/A Ambrose, 73rd o/a
617 AOG 850cc Mini N Mitchell/P Allison, retired
TMO 559 850cc Mini P Ozanne/N Gilmour, retired

I,m just piecing together an early timeline of the first Mini's used in International , National , Promotional/ Demonstration , Local events
.

The drivers were all BMC team drivers.
As far as I know the cars would have been re-used. (even if they needed a new body it was still the same car)
The TMO registered cars were Morris Mini Minors and the AOG cars were Austin Sevens.

In england, the providence of a vehicle goes more from the numberplate than the VIN back then. I believe the Works team did re-use numbers however and re-bodied cars.

In browning's book the works mini's he has some details on cars; events and teams. Given the significance of these events, it is probably covered in the text too, but I think my copy is in storage.
