Looking at a few pics of 1275 ls minis i have noticed that some are sporting the 1275 badge on their grille, is this something i should have in keeping with originality or have a few owners stuck em on the front for something to do. Veera doesnt have one |

There was never one FACTORY on the grill, only on the boot |

Never is very strong position to take. I have pics here with 1275 on the grill of a clubbie at Zetland. I just need to dig it up. So maybe - rarely or just for testing may be more appropriate, but never, never! |

Sorry i may be incorrect, I know they were fitted to the bootlids but i may be confusing the LS with the 1275 badge on the grill of a Moke. Old age catching up with me i guess. BUT as BIAM says, never say never, i have seen a lot of LS's with that badge on the grill. |

The pics in the press 1275 LS cars didn't have the badges on the grill - just the boot - according to both Wheels and Motor Manual. As an aside, when I was rummaging through some of the magazines I saw a Sports Car World (July 1973) that compared a Nota Fang with a Honda Civic. ![]() Apparently, they wanted to compare the Fang with a Clubman GT, but were upset because Leyland had stopped making them..... I haven't got a scanner so I can't put it up here unfortunately. The badges are available on UK eBay, or have been in the past. cheers! jon |
