 Post subject: The SU and its butterfly

Ok have a look at this image.....notice the butterfly is working the wrong way....
but I have often wondered why they don't work this way.......The butterfly would act as a ramp to propel the mixture
to the top of the manifold doing its little bit to overcome gravity
and keep the mixture more mixed for longer.

Some SUs indeed work this way ;) But only seen HIFs so far... :)

PS: I've been told they give better acceleration resp. throttle response is quicker!?

To me it just seems to make more sense.......So does anybody else have
