Who has a black coloured mini? I am tossing around the idea of painting my car black. My brother really wants me to put white checks on the roof!?! Black with white checks - what do you all think?

Black cars look awesome, but if you are going to paint it, it'll need the best bodywork on it you can afford or do yourself. Black shows everything.

So true, I spend a week starving myself and doing weights every time I wanna drive my black mini.

But seriously not being negative or nothin (well I guess I am) but checquered roof has kinda been overdone - firstly since its so common in the uk, secondly coz you can pretty much buy it ready made in vinyl tape. Do something of your own.

i love steves black van it looks so sweet, esp with thhe white walls,
just make sure te body work is up to scratch, then all will be sweet!

re the chequred roof, if done well i reckon will look good, there are a few variations on the theme that i have seen, eg wavy squares or like do it black with light greay instead of just black and white, but eiither way, i dont see many on the road like that so id give it a shot IMHO :D

If your coming to Minis on the Murray there will be two totally black minis. One new one (Cooper S) and a Rover. They both have lots of shiny bling bling and owned by the same family. The Rover has a silver Union Jack on the roof.

I think black is cool, dunno about the chequed flag roof...

The only gripe I would have about a black mini is that it's REALLY hot in summer! An MCC guy who has a totally white car and sliding windows complains about heat in his mini in summer and he's in Sydney! I'd hate to own a black one in Brissy! :?

I will be in Albury this weekend for the meet, looking forward to seeing some different cars to the same old Wagga clan. I just want to do something different. I have even considered the idea of making a mini pope mobile!

Funny, that's what our club van was known as. Unfortunately it won't be in Albury as we can't find a driver for it.

Steves van looks schmick! Need to get stuck in to alot of body work first before I even think about painting.

Baracade what can you tell me about "Starlet Airconditioning" is Startlet a type of small car? how does is fit into a mini? and what sort of dollars are you looking at?
