Post subject: | Rover master cylinder / booster in a Moke |
I was just wondering if anyone has ever fitted a Rover master cylinder / booster setup in a Moke? I have everything here and would like to know what others have done before I pull the angle grinder out. The problem is with the firewall mount for the master cylinder / booster bracket. It extends too far back for the Moke firewall. This part that extends back has a spring on it to return the brake pedal, and then a hole to put a bolt through in to the firewall. I was thinking of lopping this bit off and using the spring that is normally on a Mini brake pedal, as the Rover one does not have a spring on the pedal pivot. Pic to come... Edit/ Pic is here. ![]() |

I built the engine for a good friends of mines Moke, 1380, 5 speed, Metro vented discs etc. We used the Rover booster as they work so well. Cant remember exactly what we did to make it fit, but is wasnt hard. ![]() |

curl that end underneath the booster if possible you still need that extra bolt it does heaps to stop the booster flexing around Beanie |
