Don't wear shorts and sandles while grinding/cutting body panels. Legs feel like they are sunburnt this morning. Won't do that again

You get the old boilermakers (particularly in the northern climates of Oz) who don't have any sensation of burning on the front of their legs anymore.

You know how it is - You don't intend to do anything and you start to tinker then one thing leads to another - next thing there is a grinder in your hands and you are going for it

Yikes that's painful. The other one I might have done is rest a wire wheel on my wrist to answer my phone, I was getting bog out of a rear panel. I sh1t myself when I realised I had done it, I thought I'd sevored my tendons for sure. All good tho. The other one is MIG or stick welding wearing shorts,,, thats nasty...

I was sanding a door skin off a few years ago with a brand new 24grit disc when it grabbed the door and flicked up into my left wrist. Went very deep and had to have stitches. Still feels strange now.
Also slipped with a spot weld drill bit a couple of years ago and it went straight into the fleshy part of my left thumb and hit the bone(NOW THAT REALLY DID HURT!!!!). Has no sensation there now :(

i was stripping paint just under the roof line, i applied the stripper then scraped off the paint, then i thought i had washed it all off, got out the trusty wire wheel and it went all over my skin and face. lucky i was wearing safety glasses.....

I once had a router fixed to a bench and ran my the edge of my finger
right along it..... didn't even know till I thought "My finger feels warm" and
blood was everywhere.
Funny how you feel no pain till you see the blood and then I fainted.
