I have just replaced the tired old 998 with a warm 1310, the radiator is a new 3 core unit with 9 fins per inch, will this be suitable for the 1310?

Also I am in two minds as to what fan to use, I have either a new 11 blade plastic or 16 blade metal. Is one more efficient that the other?, the plastic is a lot lighter.

9 fins per inch on the radiator sounds like a cheap and nasty UK aftermarket job to me.
I'm positive the factory fitted more than that.

The fan question is debatable, some people prefer the steel ones because they won't explode, whereas the plastic ones are quieter I think.

Think Ozzie radiators are 16 fin/inch

I will guarantee that your car will over heat. Get a aussie 3 core rodded out / recored and you will be in a much better position. My 42 year old aussie 3 core keeps my car sitting on the thermostat most of the time.

My Aussie 3 core keeps my 1360 cool, even in 40C heat.
Fan is the 16 blade metal one, made for Oz conditions. It is quieter than the plastic ones...
This motor has something over 120HP at the crank, so there ya go. :D

<edit> get Oz radiators professional stripped (tanks off) and cleaned, don't expect a can of rad cleaner to do much.

Around here (Blacktown area) cost is about $90.
