ive been trying to bleed my clutch today. i have attatched the tube to the bleed nipple on the slave, then immersed the tube into the clutch MC, i get my assistant to pump the pedal, hold, close the nipple, release pedal then repeat. but im still left with a bubble that sits at the highest point of the tube, because air rises. this bubble moves around the tube when im bleeding, put never goes into the MC. what am i doing wrong and what can i do? thankyou for all your help, Leighton |

Don't pump it, that can aerate the fluid. Push pedal down and hold, open bleed nipple until flow stops, close nipple , let pedal up. Works for me...

Am I reading it correctly that you only have open tubing sitting into a container of brake fluid and not a one man brake bleeding valve ? If so just crack the bleed nipple open a touch (not fully open) so the fluid squirts out under pressure but air is less likely to stay in . |

yes your correct its just a tube from the salve cylinder into the MC, ill try your way too. |

Get a jam jar and make a hole in to the lid and put the hose in that to the bleeder. Don't reuse Brake fluid buy some new fluid please |

its all been stripped and drained there is no crap in the system, i see what your saying about air rating the fluid but wouldn't the air rise to the top anyway? |

Yes, eventually. Takes 24 hours they say. 
My bro' once spent 1/2 a day bleeding the brakes on his Imp. No good. Same prob you have. He was tipping the drained fluid straight back into the MC. 
He did as I suggested, and all good. |

My father was a motor mechanic and whenever he had trouble with bleeding brakes...he would let the car sit overnight and next morning the problem would be fixed! Basically verifying what the Doc said. |

do put some brake fluid in the bottom of the Jar and keep the end of the hose below the level of the fluid and keep an eye on the level in the Master |
