Post subject:  Ditching the brake pressure switch

Hi people.
As the topic suggests, I am looking at going with a pedal mounted microswitch for the brake lights in my white car.

I am wanting to know how people elimiate the brake pressure switch.
I am at the point with the project where I will need to finalise this (engine in for the last time - after installing the LSD).

On the same topic, I am after the y-piece that sits above the right hand brake hose, and the "bolt" that houses the (normally) pressure switch.

Thanks in advance!

Power brakes should have a blanking plug that fits in place of the switch, then it's just to wire it up.

Ah, here it is.

I just left the pressure switch where it is (it was the third one in a year) and ran the same two wires back to the new mechanical switch that I got from an auto elcetrician. Works well. Hardest part was setting it in the right place to make it work as soon as you put the brakes on.
