I am currently having my mini sprayed and when it comes back it is having at set of these flares fitted, now would people suggest fitting a rubber strip between body and arch or not?!

I think these are often referred to as Mk 1 flares. Generally cheaper than Mk 2 flares. I have them on my Deluxe which do not have any rubber on them. Been like that since 1995 with no problems.
Or is your query aesthetically based? If so, I'd be interested in some feedback too.

Hi Gareth, they are called Innocenti,( prob not spelt correctly  :D ), they are imo a quick fix way to cover wide wheels and never do look as good as a nice set of cooper "s" flares or Group 2's, but having said that one of the customers that comes into John's has had the same flares colour coded to the car with the rubber strip in between the body and the flare and they look really top shelf  . So I suppose if you put in an effort you can even make them look good... :D

yea mini special arches.

cheap, fit easily and with a paint they'll look good.

i'd give the rubber seal a go, could look great.
