Ok well I have resently put a new motor in and I went to start it with the key and it didn't work the ignition came on so I had to use the push button solinoid on the car to start now I have a wire comming off the back of the ignition when u go to crank the motor over it gets power were does it join up to on the solinoid ??? Which lug I have looked at a manual can't figure it out |

The wire is White, with a thin red trace the terminal for the start is in between the 2 big terminals but just down the solinoid a tad Edit--> maybe you have mixed upo the "Oil Warning wire" with the start wire... oil warning wire is white with a thin brown trace |

Ok the thing with my car is that none of the wire colours are right thanks to the bloke who had it before me so it is hard to tell I have put this wire there and nuffin happens could my solinoid be shot |

Run a jump wire from the battery side of the solenoid to the little terminal on the solenoid and see if the solenoid works. |

that means the solinoid isn`t working, or your battery terminal (on the solinoid) isn`t connected to the battery, or your battery is flat if there`s a slight """Clicking""" noise then it could still mean that the solinoid is orking & the starter is buggered,,, But it could also mean that the solinoid isn`t working (properly) it can be throwing in but not contacting properly/cleanly,,, so you`d then have to check to see if there is any power at the starter terminal while you have power at that little trigger terminal on the solinoidto determine whether it`s the starter that`s buggered or the solinoid that`s buggered |

It is one of those push button starters were u caN start the car from the engine bay I did the wire thing and nuffin happened but when I push the button starter motor comes on so solinoid I recon |
