Having a bugger of a job getting the petrol tank back in. have the drain plug ( or what is left of it) lined up over the hole in the floor but the filler neck is only flush with the hole in a rear quarter panel. Can't get it to move in any further at the top as I think it is foaling on the restraining strap bolt into the back wall. What's the trick to get them in? Oh and where does the breather tube go? |

Did it - wasn't using the right swear words. The right words and the HF rubber mallet and a tyre lever did it - now where is the pointy bolt that goes in the lock down strap ![]() |

Has the car ever been in a collision? Maybe the boot floor or body is just a bit outa wack? They are a bit of a squeeze, but they usually go in no problem. Is the bolt on the back of the seat to long? Try a bit of rubber lube on the filler neck. |

I think I might have a bit tougher job when I put my project back together. The panel beater forgot to drill the hole where the captive nut is for the retaining strap, he left the nut their on the outside just no hole on the inside ![]() ![]() |
